Cigar Art – Via Sam Leccia

Not everyone knows that all aspect of a cigar are art forms. From seedling, fermentation, blending, the rolling table , to the years of aging, there’s a lot of pride, tradition and patience in making a good cigar. Over three hundred (300!) pairs of hands handle the tobacco from start to finish. It truly is an art form!

Even in the tradition-rich industry of luxury tobacco, some exceptional individuals still find room for innovation. One such individual is Sam Leccia. He was formerly the face of Oliva’s NUB cigars – which were exceptionally innovative when they came out. The NUB concept captured the attention of many cigar brands – who ended up following suit with short and stout vitolas of their own.

Sam is no longer behind Oliva’s NUB but that doesn’t mean that he’s no longer innovating. Check out these latest pics he shared on twitter. They’re 100% tobacco pieces of art. This really whets my appetite for what the in-store events will have to offer.

Also be sure to keep and idea for Sam’s return to the cigar world with his Debut cigar
